compiled.lk is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect the minimum data necessary to operate a useful salary database, and we never try to identify individual contributors.

What we collect

When you submit salary data, we collect: your job title, company, industry, experience level, compensation details, and optional context like benefits. We also ask for your email address to send a one-time verification link.

How we handle your email

Your email is hashed (using a one-way function) and stored only as a hash. This lets us prevent duplicate submissions from the same person without ever storing your actual email address. We cannot reverse the hash to recover your email. The verification link expires after use.

No accounts, no tracking

compiled.lk does not require user accounts. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or third-party cookies. We do not track your browsing behavior on the site.

How data is used

Salary submissions are aggregated and displayed anonymously. Data is presented in ranges and percentiles so that no individual submission can be identified. We never sell data to employers, recruiters, or any third party.

AI-powered moderation

Submissions are processed by AI models to assess data quality — including salary plausibility, review authenticity, and duplicate detection. This processing uses Cloudflare Workers AI, which runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure. No submission data is sent to third-party AI providers. The AI never sees your email address or any personally identifiable information — only the anonymized salary and review data you submitted.

Data storage

Data is stored on secured, managed database infrastructure. Access is restricted to application-level operations only.
